Re: P-82 Twin Mustang - Thanks!
I recalled it as the P-59, but when I went looking for it as that I discovered that was the desig for the first jet fighter of the AAF.
I was impressed with the aircraft the single time I saw it, many years ago.
One landed at Hatbox field in Muskogee Ok when I was just a tad, would have been 7 or 8 years old (1957, or 8) fell in love with it. Remember it like yesterday. There was a P series Mustang hangered there then too, don't know who's it was, I had the privilage of sitting in the cockpit, instant airplane nut!
