SR-71/drone accident late 60's

i fmemory serves me correctly, a drone and SR-71 failed to seperate cleanly in the late 60's early 70's at mach speed, resulting the loss of both craft, can anybody verify this? Drone was caught in shock wave and rammed the mothership, i think.
