Why not just lauch Rosetta anyway? There is no backup plan, i.e. the mission will be a total loss if they decide to scrub the launch. It seems to me as if they should just give it chance instead of willingly dropping several million euro's. There is a 19 day launch window, beginning Jan. 12th.
