Commercial 90% peroxide isn't that expensive -- I bought 5,000 pounds from X-L Space Systems for $3.15 a pound. Unfortunately, X-L is now out of business. FMC sells rocket grade peroxide at roughly that price, but they are a real pain about all the hoops you have to jump through before they will sell to you. I have spent over $6000 so far on Teflon pumps and containers, because they won't allow us to use HDPE for anything, and we are going to have to build some segregated storage buildings before they will sell to us.
Hell of a way to run a company, paying people to keep customers from buying from you. One of the old rocket dragster guys from the 70's sent me a copy of an old shipping invoice from when you could just call up FMC and have them ship you a drum of 90%.
The rocket pack held less than 50 pounds of peroxide, so the cost per flight would be about $150, not $1500.
