You live in a country where animals are tortured and killed to test make-up... I am not a PETA nutcase but when it comes to sacrificing animals for a cause I think the exploration of space is a better cause than most...

There is a MSDS on _water_ where they determined how much water it takes to kill a rat...intravenously and orally... And to get good statistics they had to kill a lot of rats...

Many rats got turned bright pink and cut open to show the laser dye I use is about as carcinogenic as a cheeseburger-
The new majority leader got kittens from the animal shelter and cut them up... Am I to deduce something about the morality of republicans from this...? ;)

I am just saying that of the many sins of the USSR Laika is not one I really think we can pick on... we used chimps didnt we?

On a side note I would like to say that groups like ELF and PETA invariably drag their cause down... preventing the more reasonable of us from getting our point across...
