Sam, do you have any idea what it would take in energy to split the Earth in two?

If you had read my posts you should have asked yourself why Pravda hadn't given the actual name of the asteroid out. We could only assume they had no name to give. If someone is warning you of a coming disaster and they don't mention such important details as the actual name of the impactor this is should clue anyone with half a brain that they are pulling our collective leg...

As to what would happen if such an asteroid did hit some place on Earth...depends mostly on it's size and speed. But, it would be a bad thing if it was as big as Tantalus which fits the "eight" as a nick name they mention in the article...
