Michio Kaku is a physicist and even built a betatron as a kid but he has no sense of perspective. Nor the anti-nuker who wrote the piece. He claims that NASA wants to mine the Moon using rockets with 10% failure rates... sheesh like that'd ever get off the ground.
Like I said - nuts. Pure ivory tower types. Probably protest food irradiation too. Personally I KNOW food poisoning kills, even if rads MIGHT alter some chemistry.
Luddites? Nah. But naive?...
