I wonder if Ayer's Rock [Aus] is geologically similar to "you-know-what" on Mars?

Funny!
I've seen photos of Ayer's Rock that show it to be a orange-reddish colored
humungous hunk of 'stone' sticking out
of a ruddy desert where it doesn't seem to belong.
It reminds me of another orange-reddish huge hunk of rock sticking out of a rust-colored desert
on another planet: Mars.
You know the Mars rock I'm alluding to? A hint: It's located in the Cydonia
region on Mars.
No, Nick!...I'm not inferring that
Ayer's Rock was sculptured by "little
green men."
But it's amazing how Australia
has features [reddish desert sands,
craters, etc...] that resemble Mars...
WITHOUT THE DRY ICE...

cheers.
