Scroll down to "willsworld" and it brought back the worst stereotypes of food vs. space that I thought had become near obsolete. Fortunately a few folks gave him their ten cents, not nearly like the education he would have gotten here though.

Not too surprisingly this chap is reading the Guardian and probably doesn't know that the internet he is using is a byproduct of military investment.

I'm doing some rough design sketches for a break-away cockpit module that could be employed upon launch or re-entry. If heat shield failure resulted in a hydraulic system fire and subsequent explosion - it may be time to rethink the heat shield technique. Economics dictated the tiles approach but it never was my favorite. Large Molded Ablative Heat Shield Composites that would bolt on to the wings, nose and underside look more attractive than ever. To Ceres with the increased cost - it would be well worth it to keep the shuttles in one piece.
