Space/Science » in reply to Mars

Re: Mars

Hi, Mary Anne.

Prospecting, industry and settlement means to continue the study and yes, even to go.

This morning while driving my child to school there were three accidents... a car was on fire and I saw another one that was pulled over with smoke coming out of it's hood and a man CUT ME OFF and didn't even stop at HIS STOP LIGHT.

Remember what you said so beautifuly here and so perfectly as you often do:

This generation deserves better, much better. In their young, busy lives, the only time they've been fully exposed to the space program is when something goes terribly wrong and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is tired and fed up about that (and the media which you also spoke of below). My son is taking Earth and Space Science right now.... that's right, that's the name and topics of the class. He loves to learn about it all. I once asked him if he would like 'to go' into space. He said that he would, but that he is mostly interested in the engineering aspects of it. I hope he will succeed in that. It's not fair for the technical aspects or the science aspects. People like Nick and Alex and a WHOLE lot of other people want and deserve answers. The good o'l boys that came after WWII took us to the moon. They knew how to work together and build something out of nothing and DID THEY EVER (they got a washing machine to fly and bring men safely home). They need to work together and find answers to the problems, which has always been a big part of what they do. You bet they saved the work they did during STS-113. Those men and women did not die in vain. This generation deserves better. Marcia
