Buddy,
I think you are looking for reasons for why it crashed in all the wrong places. There is very little that any terrorist could have done to bring down the shuttle. The shuttle had extra protection at take off because there was a Israeli on board so it would be hard and I would say impossible for someone to cause harm to the shuttle. I am also fairly sure that the area that they think is dammaged is covered by other parts befor take off and I would imagin that It is hard to hit a shuttle that is takeing off.Trying to link the crash to some power outage you had would like me saying "I got in a car crash on the same day that the Columbia crashed, they must be connected." I do not think anything further can be accomplished by going down your line of questioning.
