The orbital-energy equivalent to a mininuke dispersed as heat-energy over several minutes too as you've indicated.
Incidently. Neither concept is my idea.
As you and I have stated, there are
drawbacks and more drawbacks involving
such technological exotica.
I don't think they'll ever reach the point of an experimental test-flight.
