Just received this from my friend Bart Hendrickx:
Sergei Shamsutdinov reports on Novosti Kosmonavtiki's on-line forum that NASA and Rosaviakosmos have reached preliminary agreement on crews for upcoming ISS missions. They are expected to be officially confirmed in about two weeks.
First of all, the following two-man "caretaker" crews have been formed for missions to ISS in early May and the autumn :
Soyuz TMA-2
prime : Malenchenko-Lu
back-up : Foale-Kaleri
Soyuz TMA-3
prime : Foale-Kaleri
back-up : McArthur-Tokarev
Only two crews are continuing training as "regular" ISS resident crews (to fly to ISS aboard the Shuttle)
prime : Krikalyov-Volkov-Phillips
back-up : Padalka-Kononenko-Fincke
Krikalyov's crew is expected to fly to the station on the first post-Columbia Shuttle flight, whenever that will take place.
(If the Shuttle is still grounded by the time Foale-Kaleri are to be relieved, then it would be logical to assume that McArthur-Tokarev will fly as the third caretaker crew on TMA-4)
All other crews that were training for ISS missions before the Columbia accident have been disbanded.
As of 25 February, the following groups will be training at Star City :
ISS-7 : Malenchenko-Lu, Foale-Kaleri
ISS-8 : McArthur-Tokarev (back-up crew). Prime crew (Foale-Kaleri) will begin training after TMA-2 launch
ULF-1 : Krikalyov-Volkov-Phillips ; Padalka-Kononenko-Fincke
ISS group 1 : Korzun, Afanasyev, Musabayev, Dezhurov, Zalyotin, Baturin, Usachov, Lazutkin
ISS group 2 : Valkov, Kondratyev, Kotov, Lonchakov, Surayev
ISS group 3 : Shargin, Revin, Kuzhelnaya, Moshchenko, Yurchikhin, Skripochka
ISS group 4 : Sharipov, Romanenko, Kozeyev, Korniyenko
ESA-1 : Duque
ESA-2 : Kuipers
ESA-st : Reiter (had been expected to be included in Expedition 11 prime crew)
