Liberal culture is one, big, aching raw nerve when it comes to even the most superficial stereotypes of any group on their "favored" list. Hell, figuring out ways in which some group is being "offended" is practically a full-time job for some people.
Not really a problem for them when it comes to groups they don't like.
Somebody in Hollywood proposing a comedy called "Those Hispanic Bastards" would be flayed alive and dragged across the Utah Salt Flats behind a team of horses. Wouldn't really matter if they changed it to "THB."
