Bubbles on the ISS
Space station astronauts reportsome interesting experiments involving films of water in weightlessness - apparently they behave almost like sheets of rubber, even allowing painting on their surfaces.
I'm sure there are some who would object to billion dollar facilities being used to blow bubbles, but I think that some very interesting and valuable results will come from this line of investigation.
And besides, it's cool!
