<Ambitious, to say the least. Still, it's kind of cool to see the kind of attitude America had back in the 1960s, when the whole universe looked like it was around the corner, and Hilton would have hotels in space in 2001.

A space program in a totalitarian system is always going to be operating with at least one foot in a bucket of cement, as far as innovation goes, but the flip side is that as long as the leadership supports the space program, they can tell the citizens to go jump in the lake when the going gets rough. No begging for votes there.

When it comes down to it though...damn it, I hope they make it.
