If I read this AP story right...you will need more radiation protection on a spacecraft in orbit around Mars than is used on ISS. This is news? The levels are no higher than perviously thought to be in Mars orbit. As yet we have nothing from MO directly telling us how much radiation astronauts would experience on the surface. I think this is maybe a bit of arm waving...
