I was just being silly, after the bit about wondering about the philosophical implications of the data being there but unaccessible.
And, bigawd, the experts couldn't undo the erasure of Nixon's 18 1/2 minutes. Different situation, different times, and we can wish it didn't, I know, but sometimes entropy wins.
Take my body, for instance. But that's another story.
