Re: You are right, I apologize. But

may I explain my 'laziness' and 'stupidity'.
Last night I was quite tired when I wrote that posting, I figured that the Information from NASA was more interesting than my comments, but I wanted to make some kind of a comment anyway and relied on my (defective) memory. I promise to put much more research into all posting that I make on this board from now on.

On the issue of the 'atmosphere', I will do more research on that one also before posting here.
I may post something about it on the flame board simply to 'irritate' you guy's. After all, is not the 'flame' board for the purpose of venting and creating frustration?

There is 'something' that I want to research and clarify to my own benefit and perhaps to the benefit of others about the 'heating by nuclear radiation.' I understand that everyone here thinks that there is no difference 'how' a molecule of matter receives it's kinetic energy, if it is accelerated it will have more 'heat' content. I agree that as far as the 'molecular motion' is concerned, this premise is true: However; the efficiency (or electromagnetic frequency) of the accelerating source does, in my opinion, have profound difference on the overall picture. I do not understand how gamma radiation energy is dissipated by the atmosphere. That information I will try to obtain from somewhere.
As an example of my (infantile) mind, I have figured out a possible experiment that might prove whether my suspicion is right or wrong. Suppose I will sacrifice two fingers to this experiment in the following way.
I will take a candle and light it, then I will put my finger in the flame and keep it there until I can no longer stand the pain, then I will find a source of gamma radiation and will keep my finger in front of it until I can no longer stand the pain. After that I can compare the two fingers and see if there is any difference in the way they have burnt. That experiment should prove to me that the type of energy used to create heat makes no difference as far as the molecules of my body are concerned.

I thank all of you gentlemen for your informative responses to my questions.

Have a good day

Johannes
