America's attitude about space changeing?
Is America ready to risk astonauts as much as we're ready to risk fighter pilots? O'Keefe wants to launch a shuttle by year end. Hopefully this is indicative of a get-tough attitude about space Americans already seem to exhibit with war. The Vietnam syndrome and the Challenger syndrome were analgous. Let's not have a Columbia syndrome now and waste a couple more years being afraid to fly. It's time to accept that space, like war, is dangerous business, and get on with it.
