You're right of course. Merely discussing an ice-dominated modern Mars is a long way from accepting anything like the CO2-dominated Mars that I have been pushing as the "strong form" of White Mars, but it's a step away from the really blue-tinted views that have at times gained a lot of publicity, and some support in the Mars scientific community.
I'll soldier on in my own way, trying to be honest and open, but somebody has to research these issues, and right now I have the Guernsey...
