It's of course interesting not to have to rely on wings (they are heavy and not needed for liftoff or in space).
But what about landing with engines?
This would mean carrying the fuel needed all the way back to Earth.
This would mean extemely reliable engines, being ignited exactly at the same time with the same force.
The first DC-X had such a problem.
