Parting Shots, EP? Earth/Mars Analogs Exist on Many Levels!

In reply to "Earth analogs for the Moon or Mars" posted by Nick Hoffman at

EP posted this... Unless you structure is compacted impact debris...

it is simply not analogous....but in your case, and only yours, it doesn´t hurt for you to look for analogues...ep

What a load! Nick in his post mentioned EP should look for [+"dry valleys" +Mars]...

I did look and the first hit in a google search gets you...

Talking about Antarctica Mark H. Thiemens said, "By studying the soil of the Dry Valleys, you really have a good glimpse of what can happen on Mars," he added. "The conditions of the Dry Valleys are about as close as you're going to get on Earth to the conditions on Mars. So if you really want to understand in a controlled fashion what can happen in an extreme environment like Mars, this is it."

I again ask where did you get your geology degree EP? The only reason I posted images of impact structures as an analog on Earth is the no brain needed obviousness of them. There are many subtle analogs all worthy of exploring.
