Just reflecting on Fermi’s Paradox.
In a really good ‘whodunit’, the antagonist/villain is almost always the very last person we would ever suspect.
As much as I dislike the possibility that we are the Lone Ranger, in terms of sentient life gone techno, and despite the counter-intuitive drum that beats in my head, saying “Hey, there’s over 400 billion stars, just in our Galaxy alone, NO WAY we’re the only ones!
Maybe the least likely suspect is guilty.
