Whither Oceanus Borealis, Mars?
A major research topic that I'm working on concerns the continuing quest for the putative, and rapidly disappearing, Oceanus Borealis, Mars. To that end, some may recall the recent abstract by Mike Carr and Jim Head that was presented at the AGU Fall Meeting 2002, (P51B-0357) entitled "Oceans on Mars: An Assessment of the Observational Evidence and Possible Fate" (Click here and scroll down to the second-from-last abstract). From what I understand, the full length paper will be published later today in JGR-Planets.
