Assessment of the X-Prize contestants
Marti and Nesrin Sarigul-Klijn have published an assessment of the X-Prize candidates here. (Acrobat format). Some of the assessment is already attracting some controversy.
Marti was our chief engineer at Rotary Rocket, and a multi-talented wizard IMHO. He is also an accomplished pilot, and along with Brian Binnie, flew the Roton ATV rotor-powered prototype on its test flights. Binnie is now on the pilot roster for Rutan's spaceplane.
