Is that clinton/gore were so busy bragging about "their" economy, that they refused to do what is necessary to stimulate the slowdown that was well underway in March of 2000.
And now we have the irony of Daschle et al, trying to Hooverize the economy by raising taxes in a slowdown, guaranteeing a deep recession if not a depression.
And they lie so well and so frequently they will avoid blame.
Anybody with even a modicum of intelligence recognizes that in a slowdown you stimulate with tax relief...unless you can do the opposite and lie and blame Republicans.
The truly appaling aspect of this is the callous disregard and deep disrespect of the welfare of the people.
Going into this, the clinton/gore/DNC cared not enough to do more than ignore the recession with inaction, and now in it, aggravate it with idiotic fiscal demands.
The people will be the ones to suffer.
