Israel is a small nation with limited resources. It also has immigrants from over 100 countries. Israel has used the immersion method for decades to teach immigrants Hebrew. The system works for both adults and children. Hebrew is a tough language. I know that from first hand experience. Back in 1978, the Air Force tried to make me a Hebrew linguist so I could monitor Israeli military communications. Bad mistake (trying to teach me Hebrew). Very bad mistake.
