According to an AP story, corporations and wealthy farmowners, including Congressmen, got about 2/3 of the $27 billion in farm subsidies last year.
If anyone out there is ACTUALLY surprised at this latest example of government money going down a rathole, I've got a bridge for sale here...
For the record, 2/3 of $27 billion is TWICE the amount of money that we are supposedly "tapping" off the mythical "Social Security Surplus" to make ends meet. And this is just ONE Federal spending program.
