Minor news from California
I've been watching the Monterey, CA, TV station. They report that the FBI's Anti-Terrorist Task Force (or some large part of it) was there at a conference, and they're scrambing to get back East. Monterey airport has been cleared for military flights in and out; so far, four military helicopters have landed and are refueling, and a transport is expected shortly. Monterey is a nexus of intel/military complexes, including the Defense Language Institute and the Institute for International Studies, and no doubt there are a number of specialists in the area who'll head back to DC on the transport.
The government is beginning to get organized.
