The change in the Republican Party has been dramatic, and can be exemplified easily. Their intellectuals used to be Bill Buckley and William Safire, good minds no matter the politics. Now they are Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.

I was reading that Santorum thinks a win in Illinois would give him the nomination. Doesn't matter, if the American public elects either Romney or Santorum we deserve what we get. And it could happen. Reagan, that empty suit, was elected twice. GWB served twice, wasn't elected.

Realistically it's hard to respect anyone who would vote for Palin to be VP. Or to trust the judgment of anyone who would pick her. And yet there are millions who voted for her. No wonder people curse the educational system in this country.

America deserves the government it elects. However, any of those Republicans would be a cruel trick on the rest of the world. They don't deserve it.
