I have looked at the list. I know their backgrounds, ideas, and experience. There are some people there I would not want to run. The rest would do quite well.

Three of them are or have been successful governors. One of them was a U.S. Senator with three times the experience of the current president.

And more importantly, although they are far from marching in lockstep, and I don't agree with a number of positions some of them have, they all share much different ideas about government, economics, and rights than the current president.

The idea that none of them could do a better job than the guy currently in office does not stand up to very close analysis--which is not equivalent to firing long strings of epithets at them. But as Jody should realize, this is pretty much all the Democrats have in their quiver right now. That, and fifty-year-old leftist tropes.
