More good news...sort of.
Something that only occurred to me as I watched the 1,300-foot towers collapse on TV for the dozenth time:
The towers basically collapsed almost vertically. What if they had gone over sideways like a big redwood tree? Imagine the additional damage and casualties from falling out over a huge chunk of the city. Maybe because of the way they were built they had to collapse vertically. Or maybe we were just lucky.
