If that DeLorean really was swinging 1.21 GW around - the power generated by a major nuclear power plant - it would have been throwing lightning bolts across the landscape. Even if you could crank that kind of load out of a Mr. Fusion, what would you run it through? Maybe the 21st century of "Back to the Future" had room-temperature superconductors and magic insulating materials.
