If you are sick, then there is a lot going around. Not a few people have looked at the photos of the area, or actually been there, and noticed the similarity to sets of disaster movies.

I saw the modern "Godzilla" movie, and I now recall the rampage through New York where the monster is pursued by attack helicopters. The "joke" in this scene is that missile after missile is fired at Godzilla, but all of them miss and devastate the city. In the movie, literally dozens of major skyscrapers suffer the damage inflicted on the WTC in real life. Buildings plummet into streets. One building has a gigantic hole literally punched through the center. But the horrible loss of life that would certainly have resulted is never mentioned. It's all "cartoon violence." Not so funny now.
