Tom, the songs are not just fine but are 'widely critically acclaimed'!
It's a little known fact but I used to tour with a band called Capitalist #1
Our songs were a retro blend of corporate folklore and some moody hard rock like that Asia or the Scorpions turned out in the early eighties.
Our first album went platinum card with titles such as:
"Screw the little guys keep the profits for yourself."
"Golden Parachutes in the Sky."
"My IPO is bigger than yours."
"Life is bitter, but I sell lemonade so go to hell."
A top ten single that is seldom remembered but a favorite of the medium company CEO's still to this day:
"Keep that union away from me."
My favorite song performed live was,
"Offshore Seas of Green." which the young folks would jump up and down so hard that their tie clips would pop off and would hit them in the face.
Oh, yes those were the good ol' days.
Every know and then I still catch myself humming some bars from,
"I could fire you whiners all day and never get tired of it."
Best wishes,
