Re: Last one for tonight, then I'll shut up. Satellite shots.

Hi Tom,

The Pentagon was built in a time-frame when the state-of-the-art in fire control was building out of concrete. The problem is when concrete floors are laid down, while it does keep the infrastructure more intact - it also heats up like a clay cookpot. So the fires burn hotter.

Concrete is also more bullet resistant, bomb resistant and generally more durable in harsh weather conditions. Any minor cracking which appears between summer and winter by expansion/contraction is easily patched.

As for your comment re: Drudge - he always manages to put together a lot of good links.

I heard Brokaws comment but not Rathers - they demonstrate that even in a crisis - their hack-axes don't stop. They are heartless liberal clods - and I might say are looking mighty weathered themselves these days.

But is this news?

I was at the GOP convention in 96 when Rather left the bayfront convention building "This is not news. No news is occurring here."

I'd rather not say aloud my true feelings about the man. Children may be reading... ;-)

Best wishes,

SDAI-Tech1
