Anyone see this terrorist-themed movie?
For those not familiar with plot, John Travolta plays a ruthless billionaire who hires a former crack hacker to siphon billions in federal funds from disused account to continue a private war against terrorism. Towards the end of the movie (the scene of the bus), his character has a rant (and I am paraphrasing here, since my memory is not photographic) that goes something like:
"When they kill one hostage, we kill a hudnred. When the hijack a bus, we hijack a jumbo jet. When they blow up a building, we nuke a city. We must make the very thought of attacking Americans too terrible to contemplate".
I can see upsides and downsides to this scenario. Opinions?
