One nit-pick
Athiests do not lack a belief in God. Athiests actively disbelieve in higher powers. Some have criticized atheists for having faith in the proposition that there is no God, since it would be pretty hard to prove.
Agnostics are the wish-washy ones (I am agnostic) who proclaim that we don't know wtf is going on theistically, and are waiting for proof, one way or the other. (although if I was a betting man, I have serious doubts that there is a big man in the sky)
