The information in the following URL came from someone who was close
(and sympathetic) to bin Laden. Some of the information is true.
However, some of it runs contrary to accounts given by other reliable
sources. That said, the information in this URL does provide some
important details regarding Osama bin Laden.

Important details (IMHO):

1) He's intelligent, university educated and definitely NOT insane.
2) He was fully indoctrinated in his religion at a very early age.
He is probably incapable of viewing the world outside an Islamic
fundamentalist context.
3) He was born from a wealthy family and relatively innocent concerning
the wider world prior to becoming involved with the Afghan War against
the Soviets.
4) His involvment in the Afghan War was distinguished through personal
combat experience. He showed considerable leadership skill and was
courageous under fire.
5) He appears to be naive about the broader aspects of politics, i.e.
He does not understand the delicate political balancing act Saudi Arabia
must maintain to retain its wealth and position within the Islamic world
while at the same time maintaining friendly relations with it's principle
petroleum customers in the Western world.
6) He has been stripped of his Saudi citizenship. Intelligence services from
Saudi Arabia have repeatedly tried to assassinate bin Laden and failed.
7) Osama bin Laden is no friend of Iraq or Iran. However he has lived
in the Sudan and has a good relationship with the Sudanese government.
He has a close working relationship with the Taliban. He also has
many friends within the Pakistani government who will do all they
can to help him even if it's against official government policy.

Bottom line: This guy is not a buffoon in pajamas with a towel wrapped
around his head. Killing him will not be easy.
