Body Counts

This week's horrific tragedy has disabled our idyllic existences.......no longer will we have minor complaints like Firestone Tires and the price of gas.
I was fortunate to lose no-one in those bombings.
This assault on our peaceful country or it's citizens is born out of religious fervor......an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

The killing won't stop.......as a matter of fact, it has just begun. Last week I read for the first time about declassified DIA documents that prove we had broken the Geneva Convention in our treatment of the Iraqis since the Gulf War......we planned to destroy them from within to fully degrade their water systems.
The United Nations have estimated that more than 500,000 Iraqi children have died as a result of these sanctions.
UNICEF reports that 5,000 children die every month in Iraq
due to the U.S.-led sanctions. They are dying from diarrhea and
dysentery due to lack of clean drinking water, medicine and food.
The sanctions do not allow Iraq to rebuild its water systems that
were destroyed during the bombing ten years ago. Over 1.5 million
Iraqi's have died in the last ten years due to the sanctions and the
continued bombings, which are still happening every week in Iraq.

Now, I can just hear some of you hissing under your breath at me and swearing that the only good Iraqi
is a dead Iraqi. And that "enemies" and "killing our enemies" is the only solution to the evil in the world.
But I must ask you all, there will be no easy solutions to the coming events as individuals, countries and their leaders seek to find revenge or resolution to long time hatreds.
An eye for an eye.......
A tooth for a tooth......
For every action.....there is a re-action.

The Iraqi water supply is just ONE of a host of evils perpetrated upon our "enemy".
We must view the world through unbiased eyes to understand the coming days.
