My 4 year old son reacted to the disaster (got really spooked at night, crawled into bed with us and wanted the lights on). I don't think he really understood what he saw on the television. I believe he was responding to my wife's and my own reactions to the terrorist action.

I was annoyed by the television networks for their continuing to show the closeups of those people jumping from the World Trade buildings. Horrible! I felt really bad for this one poor devil who was holding some large flat objects in his hands (obviously trying to fly like a bird). If it was me, I would have tried to fashion a parachute from the window curtains (certainly better than flapping my arms before going "splat").
