Now is not the time for false pacifism. There is a lot of propaganda floating around that seeks to blame the United States for this tragedy. Much of it is disguised as a plea for peace.
If we do not respond to this in a forceful way, then the terrorists will seek to cause only more damage. The next attack may involve nuclear or biological weapons: And what then? Undoubtedly there would still be those who would argue that "peace is the only way...If only we understood their desperation...Etc..."
Its time for America to grow up. Life isn't all a joke on the Jay Leno show. Peace is something you earn... NOT something you learn in a University ethics class.
If this person is a true pacifist, then why is he NOT on the ground in Afghanistan giving humanitarian aid and truly working for a peaceful end to the conflict there? A true pacifist would be willing to go into harms way to stand up for his beliefs.
I'm sorry if this offends some, but I think many cowards hide behind the shield of "pacifism". And many of our enemies have learned through Vietnam and other conflicts that they can use the cause of "Pacifism" against us.
As for Afghanistan, there are others in the middle east who have more to fear and more to lose than the people of Afghanistan.
