A bit more info:

IE 5 and IE 5.5 users should upgrade to sevice pack 2 (sp2) immediately - follow links in Tom's post, above, to the appropriate MS site.

Check your version by clicking on Help in IE, and then click on About Internet Explorer to find out what version of the browser you're running.

The worm exploits a vulnerability in sp1 versions of IE 5 and 5.5 and can autoexecute the readme.exe file (which apparently will not be visible as an email attachment) thereby infecting your machine.

In plain language, you are vulnerable to infection with the sp1 versions of IE 5 and 5.5.

I don't know about Netscape; didn't read the info there.

There are a number of issues here, but for most users, I would recommend upgrading to the sp2 versions of IE 5 and IE 5.5 immediately, and BEFORE you check your email again.
