I would look at it differently, since it was the air industries fault for poor security, they should bear the brunt of it failing. I would hold this incident over them and tell them: you know what to do if you don't want this happening again.
In fact I wonder if the owners of the WTC could sue the air industry over this. That would teach them. . . well, if it didn't kill them.
if you let the government handle security, 'then' I wonder how much the airline industry would come crawling and asking for?
