Afghanistan is ill-equipped to stop bin Laden. The black market, drug trafficking, and arms negotiations were devised for the enrichment of criminals, not governments. It stands to reason that the Taliban is better equipped than their local enemies.
And when it gets so far out of hand that a nation cannot contain its own festering disease -- who're ya gonna call?
