NEW YORK -- The head of the consortium that took over a 99-year lease of the World Trade Center has said he is considering building four 50-story towers and a memorial where the landmark 110-story twin towers stood.

The practicality of 4 lower rise buildings is undeniable but I fancy the memorial to be a spire rising higher than the original towers and be as much a part of NYC skyline as was the WTC.
Left to a commercial developer it is unlikely they would spend that kind of money on a non-leasable structure. I would contribute to a building fund for such a monument.
