<Bill Maher issued the following statement today to NewsMax.com:

Thank you for the opportunity to clarify my comments made on Monday's "Politically Incorrect" which should have been expressed differently.

I am sure that the loss of major sponsers (Sears, and Federal Express) had nothing to do with his apology.
