Purely amazing

Castro said the American president made ''an amazing assertion'' Thursday
night when he said that ''the course of this conflict is not known; yet its
outcome is certain. And we know that God is not neutral.''

''When I think about the real or imagined parties involved in that bizarre
holy war that is about to begin, I find it difficult to make a distinction
about where the fanaticism is stronger.''

Did Bush really say "God is not neutral"? Did he really use the word "Crusade"?
How can we believe he has nothing against the Muslims, all of them?
Isn't it a "holier than thou" war just beginning?
And making friends with the nuclear armed Pakistan, knowing the contention it has against India, is it really smart? Knowing the US armed the Taliban in the 80's, to fight the Soviet occupation.
And how about the number of US victims caused by Communist attacks on Americans, compared with the number of US (and worldwide) victims caused by religious fanatics attacks?
Our Tommy boy is on a crusade against criticism of the White House reaction, comming from the liberals; I wonder if he knows who and what the enemy is.
I have the rather distinct impression some would like nothing more than to nuke any country that , though perfectly in peace within the western world, just doesn't agree with the means used to fight against terrorism.
To start with, the US administration should ASAP put an end to the Arab-Israeli conflict; it has the power to do it (how can the most powerful country in the world bulge against a minority of Israelis who keep moving and settling into the occupied territories?). How can it accept that Palestinians cannot claim the El Aksa Mosque which is a Muslim sacred temple?
And also: the first world war was the result of alliances, forming 2 antagonistic blocs;
It's all back again!!
"If you don't join us, you're with the enemy......"I hear.
But there are no enemies! No country has declared war to the US!
The terrorists came from, in the biggest majority, friendly countries. Even from western countries; they have had contacts in Germany, France, Belgium, they have trained in the US. Blame countries? OK, Afghanistan is the prime suspect's actual place (but it hasn't always been the case and he could very well have moved again). Sending troops is a visible sign, not against terrorists, but much more against countries and it's the best way to make even more people hate the US, even though, so far, it wasn't the case.
