Non-engineer, probably dumb idea
The only way I could see to protect a building from a similar attack is to build some kind of metal superstructure strong enough to break up the aircraft and prevent the kind of penetration that we saw.
Obvious cosmetic problems and probably impossible from an engineering standpoint.
